Ashram Munivara
Muni in Sanskrit means Yogi or Saint and Vara means one who is the best, excellent or The Ultimate. Ashram Munivara is a Jnana Buda Siwa ashram and was established on the 10th of July 2006. It is a place of worship for locals and foreigner, a sacred space to awaken, transform and learn self empowerment.
The Ashram offers the four paths of yoga – Bhakti, Jnana, Raja and Karma Yoga. Puja is performed on holy days with Jnana Buda Siwa spiritual dances and songs and yoga classes (asanas) are available twice a week.
As a visitor to the ashram you can stay at the Ashram accommodation or come as a drop in guest to attend our weekly puja and yoga.
What is Jnana Buda Siwa
Jnana means knowledge, Buda means within oneself or “Shiva Atman”. Siwa, Ruler of the Universe or Shiva outside of ourselves (Similar to Micro and Macro cosmos). In the tradition of Jnana Buda Siwa, songs and dance are active spiritual tools used to cultivate inner knowledge and a deep state of surrender to the Divine.
