Weekly Yoga classes on:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 5pm – 6:30pm at the yoga shalla

Price : 35,000rp per person

• Yoga classes can be cancelled if lack of numbers or public holidays
• It is best not to eat food at least two hours prior to the class
• Wear tight fitting yoga clothes or comfortable clothing
• Yoga mats are supplied

Yoga classes start at 5PM 


Event: Full Moon, New Moon Puja as well as Kliwon Days on the Balinese Calendar.

Time: Puja starts around 7pm and finishes usually after 10pm

Dress code: Sarong, Sash and top covering shoulders (preferably white)

The Ashram disciples dance and chant the sacred songs of Jnana Buda Siwa as well as do prayer with short meditation. If you wish to join our Puja and you are a new visitor please come to the ashram shop to pick up a sarong rental or purchase a sarong if you dont have one. Please request guidance into the ashram or e mail us.



There are a series of ceremonies held during our Holy Month of July which celebrate Jnana Buda Siwa at Ashram Munivara. Annual Anniversary celebrations for Jnana Buda Siwa at Ashram Munivara are held every year on the 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th and 17th July.

Dress code: Ashram dress code is required as it is a formal event. On the 13th July it is a yellow dress code as a symbol of the Divine Mother.

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule for student house guests and visitors include practices taught in Ashram Munivara, which combine Walking Meditation, Chanting, Yoga and Japa. Walking Mediation is performed using mala beads and circumambulating the grounds of the Ashram whilst chanting “Om Namah Shiva Ya”. Drop in visitors are welcome to join our daily schedule but we recommend to make an appointment by e mail.

PUJA SARASWATI : December 2019 / July 2020

Puja Saraswati will be held on the 8th/11th December 2019 for Banyu Pinaruh & Pagerwesi as part of the Saraswati celebrations, held every 6 months on the Balinese calendar

Please Note:
Ashram Munivara will not hold Puja on Saraswati Day.

  • Banyu Pinaruh (the day after Saraswati) evening Puja on the 8th December
  • Pagerwesi will fall on our Full Moon day on the 11th December

Nyepi is a day of silence and the Balinese New Year all across Bali and a time to stop all regular activity to reflect. Ashram Munivara hold a Nyepi Retreat to honor this silent day annually every Nyepi around March.
4 Day Nyepi Retreat: 23rd – 26th March 2020
The Nyepi 4 day Retreat consists of one full day of silence, fasting and meditation on the Nyepi day (Balinese New Year day) which falls on the 25th March, the following morning at the Ashram is Agni Hotra (fire puja) at 5am and closing of the retreat. Locals also join and stay overnght. We will hold a 4 day Nyepi retreat for foreigners so that they can also join and prepare for the Nyepi Day of silence.
