Ceremony on full moon is very important because the Sakti, Mother energy of the Universe, is rising and moving. You can more easily receive the energy and potentially your kundalini may rise more quickly.

Here the moon is reflecting the sun’s energy 100%. The moon is taking the energy from the sun and reflecting it down to the earth to move the energy for the people. This is like the father who supplies the mother with the money to buy food for the children (father sun, mother moon).

    Event: Guru Puja

    • Date: 17th July
    • Time: 19:00
    • Dress Code: White sarong and blouse/shirt

    ROLE OF THE GURU

Satguru is the glorious Guru, the kind Guru who guides you to the Feet of the Supreme Lord. The role of the Guru is to raise your soul that has long been drowned, that has strayed far from happiness. In this age, the souls that have strayed afar no longer recognise their own truth because of their attachment to their own separate world. Anybody who has strayed too far, who is all bound up in material existence, becomes a dark soul. When the darkness of your soul can receive no light, your path in life will be filled with obstacles.

Jnana means “knowledge, wisdom”. Buda means “the enlightened” knowledge from inside the Soul (Atman) and when this knowledge is expressed in the physical and you do action outside (you make something from this knowledge) that means Siwa. This is different from what most people know as Sivaism and Buddhism.

The Annual JBS celebrations and main ceremonies will start from the 9th July and goes till the 17th July. Please e mail for other events that may take place during our Holy Month of July at Ashram Munivara.

    JBS Celebrations: 9th, 10th, 13th, 11th and 17th July.

These days are the main Puja celebration days, please see July Events for times and for further information please e mail us.

NOTE: The only day where we wear yellow dress is on the 13th July which represents the Divine Mother.

Event: Galungan & Kliwon - Regular Puja

    • Time: 7:30pm till finish
    • Dress Code: White Ashram attire
    • Ashram sarong rental available at the ashram co op shop

Galungan is the celebration of Good over Evil. On this day most Balinese go home to their villages to celebrate and spend time with family as well as go to their local temples. There maybe a small gathering of bhaktas at the Ashram for puja and there may not be the full puja as usual.

Kliwon in the Balinese çaka (saka) calendar are special energy balancing days occurring every 5 days. On kliwon it is good to do spiritual practices because the energy from Mother Earth is very close and strong. Kliwon days are especially important in Ashram Munivara to assist the disciple as the śakti energy facilitates quick process and purification.

  • 2019-11-01 19:00 - 2019-11-01 22:30

    Kajeng Kliwon

    • Time: 7pm till finish
    • Dress Code: White Ashram attire
    • Ashram sarong rental available at the ashram co op shop

Kajeng Kliwon takes place every third kliwon (15 days). The energy is high so we do Puja (ceremony) on these days. Mother/Sakti energy at kajeng kliwon connects the sun, moon, earth, planets and stars so we receive the Sakti energy of the Universe. This energy makes you very sharp.
