Spiritual Teacher

Guru, in Hinduism, a personal spiritual teacher or guide. From at least the mid-1st millennium bce, when the Upanishads (speculative commentaries on the Vedas, the revealed scriptures of Hinduism) were composed,  the  importance is that there is a tutorial method in religious instruction.

Master Ketut Arsana is a Balinese Yoga Master, Usada Practitioner, Mahatma healer and spiritual teacher at Ashram Munivara.  He is the founder of Ashram Munivara, Ubud Bodyworks ,  and Om Ham Retreat. Born in the village of Padang Tegal, Ubud. He grew up in a poor family, within this family was a tradition of Balinese healers passed down from Grandfather to Grandson called Balians or shamans. He began his healing practice with his own family and gradually extended it to his neighbours and eventually anyone who heard about him. Later on he found a spiritual teacher that taught him about Moksha (oneness with God), yoga, meditation and prayer but that teacher didnt have personal experience and couldn’t fulfill his spiritual needs. He wanted to become a religious teacher so he went to a school especially for Agama (religion). In school he became a top student at yoga and was teaching yoga in TVRI (television station) every week. Not many people were interested in yoga at that time but gradually more people came to learn and to see him as a healer.

Simultaneously he continually improved his knowledge by learning from other healers, praying in temples and other sacred places, and through spiritual discipline. He developed a more broader and more universal practice of healing and spiritual knowledge.
